Welcome to the Rotary Club of DeWitt
As part of an international service organization, in Central New York since 1954, the Rotary Club of DeWitt currently has about 50 Active and Honorary members. Covering a wide range of ages, interests and businesses, our volunteers give back to the community in many ways.
For about 65 years, we had one large annual fundraising event each year in May, our Dewitt Rotary Pancake Day in ShoppingTown. During the pandemic, we switched gears and held a successful spring basket fundraiser two years in a row. We have now initiated a new fall fundraiser called DeWitt Rotary Community Days that brings us back to a large community event similar in scope to our Pancake Day.
Most of the year is spent on various projects helping area organizations and groups to make CNY a better place in which to live and do business. We donate funds to area food pantries, maintain the bench areas and plantings at Butternut Creek Trail Park in DeWitt, hold regular Blood Drives at DeWitt Community Church, give scholarships to seniors at four area high schools, and participate in many other service projects. We also support international endeavors as well. Over the past 65 plus years, DeWitt Rotarians have given thousands of volunteer hours and over a million in philanthropy funds to meet the needs of our neighbors here and around the globe. We invite you to check out this website as well as our Facebook page "Rotary Club of DeWitt".
